Zolder 2026 happened. I raced the EuroNASCAR Rookie Challenge with Lux Motorsport and got my first real benchmark inside the series. Now the next step is 2027: the NASCAR Euro Series Open class, with the goal of competing for the full season.

01 / THE JOURNEY
Zolder happened.
Next: 2027.
Zolder 2026 was the original concrete target of this project — and it happened.
I got the opportunity to race at Zolder with Lux Motorsport in the EuroNASCAR Rookie Challenge and finally experience the series from inside the car.
That weekend turned the project from an idea into something real. It gave me a much clearer picture of the level, the car, the environment and what it takes to compete in EuroNASCAR.
Now the next step is 2027.
The goal is to move into the NASCAR Euro Series Open class and build the project around competing for the full season.
Zolder was not the finish line. It was the first proper benchmark. Now the focus is on taking what we learned there and building the next step properly.
Why show all of it?
Because the road is the story.
Racing is more than the moment behind the wheel. Preparation, people, mistakes, testing, uncertainty and problem-solving are part of getting there.
Document the journey. Don’t manufacture it.

Harry “Da Rat” Turunen
A Finnish driver with roots in karting, years around sim racing and race teams. In 2026 I raced the EuroNASCAR Rookie Challenge at Zolder with Lux Motorsport. The next target is the NASCAR Euro Series Open class and a full season in 2027.
The driver
Still learning. Still pushing.
I’m not building this around pretending I’m a finished racing driver. The point is development: understand what I do well, expose what needs work and find out what happens when the attempt is taken seriously.
The objective is to become better every time the car, simulator or team gives me new information.

Clever, observant, opportunistic, resilient and a little difficult to predict. Da Rat is a visual identity for the same person you see at the track.
